Urbanization project in Santa Bárbara (Cali)

The proposal developed for the Santa Bárbara urbanization, in the Cristales area in Cali (Colombia), is a joint offer between the UR Arquitectos office, led by architect Javier Uribe in Cali, and by architect Paula Echeverri Montes.

In this project we developed a housing proposal of 5 buildings of 5 floors each, with three sophisticated apartments: type one is approximately 137.70 m2, type 2 is 119.50 m2 and type three has measurements of 147.85 m2, this being one of the largest.

The structure highlights our holistic conception of design: through computational design and the use of BIM (Building Information Modeling), our clients can view, from any angle they wish, the design plane made from a frontal or zenithal axis.

The architectural proposal was created from a careful analysis of the bioclimatic and geographical determinants, implementing digital analysis technologies, with the intention of obtaining the greatest lighting and natural ventilation that allows the fluidity of the wind. In this way, the home becomes a space of comfort for those who live in the structure, ensuring near and far views in an exceptional lot.

The Santa Bárbara urbanization is located in an open space in contact with nature, with an extremely pleasant view of the Valle del Cauca, making it a perfect option for those who enjoy the relationship with the environment. This set is a very high quality idea in terms of habitability.

As creative architects, we develop the idea of ​​generating a natural environment with environmental and landscape qualities that create open and modern spaces, without losing the essence of nature.

In our design we propose the use of mainly natural materials, but with a simple construction solution, which provides significant architectural growth without raising the costs of the project for potential clients.

Thinking about the preservation of the environment and the environmental corridors that Valle del Cauca has, we work on the design based on a holistic approach, in which we integrate ecosystem and Colombian cultural form.

Our idea as a design team with our partners UR Arquitectos was to generate an appropriate environment for the enjoyment of the inhabitants within a very complex topography with high slopes, for the use of interpersonal encounters of the community through the terraces, pool and areas common.

One of the most relevant characteristics of our design proposal was the appropriate spatial continuity between the interior of the apartments and the exterior, in which there is a warm and beautiful landscape, attractive for its vegetation and fauna. The open distribution connects the apartment with all the service areas and balconies that have an excellent climate for your enjoyment without any wasted spaces.

The Santa Bárbara urbanization is located within a natural landscape, with an excellent and elegant distribution, framed in the minimalist and avant-garde style that together with UR Arquitectos we capture in each of our designs.

Potential clients of the urbanization will be able to delight in the beautiful view that Valle del Cauca offers together with the serene climate of the region. Thanks to this type of project, we distinguish ourselves in the Colombian market as references in comprehensive architectural design and computational design.

The aesthetics and design were thought about the comfort of our clients, with the aim of creating appropriately modern and avant-garde spaces. Our interest as architects is to generate a serene and calm architecture, where the housing qualities are much superior in terms of the interior comfort of the apartments and allow a better quality of life.
